Spring Backpacking: 11-14

Come celebrate the magic of spring break in our own backyard. We will be exploring the new growth of spring with wildflowers, mud, awakening of reptiles and amphibians, waterways and birdsong. By wandering within the fields, creeks and forests of Tuckers Grove and beyond, we will be cultivating a sense of place while gaining local knowledge through direct experience. We'll work together as a group to create one match fires and discover the mysteries of nature. Most of all, our wanderings will be fun and full of adventure, rain or shine.

PLEASE BRING:
DAY PACK: small backpack that are comfortable for your children to carry
WATER: at least 16 oz for younger children, 32 oz for older
LUNCH and SNACKS: Our programs are ACTIVE and kids get hungry! Please supply plenty of food.
SUNSCREEN: Please have sunscreen already applied when you arrive in the morning, and send along a supply of any particular brand of suncreen you prefer. Otherwise, we'll re-apply ours later in the day.
WARM CLOTHES: Please send along layers because weather changes throughout the day.
