RAVEN TEEN WOMEN EXPEDITION: June 23-27

Out in the desert life slows down in a way that allows hearts to open. In this camp young women will learn to listen and give voice to their inner experiences, feelings, thoughts, visions, dreams, hopes and fears- encouraging authentic, loving relationships with the self, each other, and the natural world.
We will have the oppotunity to learn primitive and life skills, play in the garden, swim in the pond, take hikes into the sunset, sleep by the fire and cook delicious food as we create our own womens village
for a week.

RAVEN SIERRA BACKPACKING : August 17-22

This summer our infamous travels with our teen expeditions brings us to the magic of the  Eastern Sierra Mountains.
During the beginning and end of the week we will be at a "base camp" learning wilderness skills while deepening our relationship with nature and each other.
The middle of the trip takes us backpacking where we will carry everything we need with us and look for hidden lakes and contemplate the birds eye view from a mountain top. Knowing how to set up and cook on camp stoves, purify water, and keep your food from the animals are essential skills for the backpacker. How about staying found ! Wilderness navigation, map and compass reading are also skills taught by our experienced staff.

A willingness to fully participate in activities (no matter how wet or dirty we get) to the best of your abilities, camp chores, personal and group safety, honesty, being prepared, having fun, laughing, and sharing is required.

There will be a pre-trip meeting that teens must attend with a parent (date to be announced)
This meeting will cover proper gear for a very different climate than the coast or valley and demonstrate packing
techniques, hygiene, clothing, footwear, sleeping, safety and any other questions that arise.
